Administaff Added to Fortune 500
Administaff, Inc. (NYSE: ASF), the nation's
leading Professional Employer Organization (PEO), today announced
it is included on the Fortune 500 list of America's largest
corporations. The company was ranked number 448, moving up
from a Fortune 1000 ranking of 615 last year.
"This is a terrific milestone for
Administaff and a great way to celebrate 15 years in business,"
said Paul J. Sarvadi, Administaff president and chief executive
officer. "Our rapid growth demonstrates how increasingly
valuable our services are to an expanding number of small
and medium-sized businesses across the country."
Fortune also ranked the top 500 companies
in various performance and industry categories. Administaff
was among the top 20 companies in all three listings that
benchmark the "most bang for the buck," including:
- number two in revenues per dollar of
assets,
- number 10 in revenues per dollar of
equity, and
- number 16 in revenues per employee.
Only three other companies in the
Fortune 500 made all three listings in the "most bang
for the buck" rankings. Administaff also ranked in the
top five companies in the "Diversified Outsourcing Services"
industry category.
According to Fortune, the methodology used for the Fortune
500 rankings has always been the same. "The criterion
for membership in this elite club remained constant: revenues,
revenues, revenues," reported the magazine. "In
these turbulent times, we all need a little constancy."
The Fortune 500 list will be published
in the April 16, 2001, issue. For additional information about
