KUHF - March 2, 2001
Broadcast Transcript: Client Conference
Ed Mayberry (Anchor):
Houston-based Administaff hosted a two-day gathering for clients
demonstrating the services they provide for small businesses, navigating
the complexities of insurance, workplace regulations, bulk purchases
and so on. Administaff CEO Paul Sarvadi says the idea is to bring
to life the Administaff Web page his clients are used to accessing.
Paul Sarvadi (Administaff CEO):
Our customers are learning by walking into the online experience.
We've created an exhibit hall where you walk through your browser
into Administaff Assistant and Bizzport and you can see all you
can do online.
Mayberry:
Administaff's Jeff Hutcheon says the exhibits put a human face on
the Administaff Web site.
Jeff Hutcheon (Administaff):
What we really are trying to accomplish is take our Web sites; the
two sites that we provide right now are eService platform, which
is Administaff Assistant, and our eCommerce site, which is Bizzport,
and really try to turn the sites into a virtual world, if you will,
that people can actually walk into and begin to see some of the
services we provide, and offerings and products.
Mayberry:
The Administaff Web site allows small company owners to access help
with implementing, for example, a 401K for a small five-person environment.
Exhibitor, Ryan Wehr explains some of the areas clients can click
on in this virtual version of the Administaff site.
Ryan Wehr (Administaff Exhibitor):
Today we're highlighting some of the features that we have on Administaff
Assistant, which is our online service platform. We have some of
the information such as online pay stubs and Web reporting, and
online forms. That's really the area we're hitting here. If a client
has a question, they can come in, and we can actually set them up
and give them a walk-through of what the service platform is.
Mayberry:
What kind of questions are people asking you?
Wehr:
Most of the questions and comments revolve around, wow, I didn't
know you had so much information online. But some of the questions
are, well how can I run this report? How can I specialize it for
my business? How does this affect me?
Mayberry:
Most U.S. businesses fall under the category of small business,
and that's the market Administaff is tapping.
That's KUHF Business News. I'm Ed Mayberry.
